Offered for your consideration is a Stoneware Jar attributed to the Baltimore, Maryland area. It features a gently tapering body, rounded shoulder, rolled rim, and double shoulder rings. The jar is decorated with freely brushed cobalt foliate motifs, repeated around the body in the expressive style associated with early Baltimore stoneware.
 
The jar remains in as made condition, with slight bubbling and other minor manufacturing irregularities only. It measures 8 1/2" high with a 5 1/2" bottom diameter.
