We are pleased to offer this exceptional 2 Gallon Stoneware Jug with unusual Cobalt top.  The Jug has an impressed "2" gallon mark, as well as,  “N.A. WHITE AND SON, UTICA, N.Y.” on the Cobalt Top.  This dates the jug from1882 to 1889 when Charles N. White joined the pottery company and the mark shifted from “WHITES, UTICA, N.Y.”  The salt-glazed jug has stenciled advertising for W.H. MCGARVY WHOLESALE DEALERS IN WINE & LIQUORS UTICA. N.Y.  The Jug is in excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or restorations noted.  There is one stone ping and some colbalt fingerprints, otherwise in as made condition.  If you collect salt glaze with bold blue, this beauty is for you!
