We are pleased to offer this fine G. A. McCarthey & Bro. Maysville, KY wax sealer canning jar, circa 1875. Maysville marked stoneware is particularly sought after by collectors and examples bearing the Maysville designation often command a premium. The jar features bold cobalt lettering on its gently tapering form.
 
The jar measures 8" high with a 5" bottom diameter. There are three small flakes to the interior lip, the largest measuring approximately 3/4" x 1/2". This is a desirable example of Kentucky merchant advertising stoneware.
