Offered for your consideration is this Midwestern 2 gallon salt glaze Stoneware Jug with albany top. The makers are most likely from Ohio or Minnesota with the jug dating to the late 1880's to early 1900's. There’s an applied freehand cobalt blue “2” accented by a distinctive target or bullseye design.
 
The jug measures 13" high x 9¼" diameter and is in excellent condition with only an incidental ½" flake to the spout. Enhance your collection with this great example of early American stoneware.
